Welcome to Praesidio Aevum Driving Academy’s Teenage State Approved Course. Designed specifically for teenagers of Vermont, our course is a comprehensive program aimed at ensuring our students are road-ready and confident behind the wheel.

Course Details

  • Duration: 32 hours of classroom instruction.
  • Behind-the-Wheel Training: 6 hours.
  • Observation Time: 6 hours.
  • Location: The first class is at Colchester High School. All other classes will be taught via Zoom (there may be up to two other in-person classes for guest speakers).

Important Note: A mandatory caregiver meeting is held prior to the first class session.

State Requirements

All students must attend:
  • At least 30 hours of classroom instruction.
  • 6 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction.
  • 6 hours of behind-the-wheel observation.

Zoom Requirements:

The Department of Motor Vehicles has set forth the following rules:
  • Use of a desktop, laptop, or stationary tablet. (No smartphones allowed.)
  • Camera must always be on with microphone and speaker functionalities.
  • Students should be clearly visible, sitting upright, and free from distractions.

Drive Sessions

  • Sessions are scheduled in pairs for a total of 2 hours.
  • Sessions will be held after school, evenings, and weekends. Summer sessions will occur during weekdays.

Pricing

  • Course Fee: $950.00 per student.
  • Deposit: A $300.00 deposit is required to reserve a spot.
  • Payment Methods: Venmo (deposits only), Cash, Check, or Zelle.

Students may miss up to one class. 

Cancellation Policy

Cancel up to 2 weeks before the start to get a refund minus a $300 deposit fee. If within 2 weeks, a refund will be provided only if the spot can be filled.
